Etymology
Attested in the Heart Sutra.
From Middle Chinese 色即是空 (MC ʃɨk̚ t͡sɨk̚ d͡ʑiᴇX kʰuŋ), itself being Kumārajīva's translation from Sanskrit यद् रूपं सा शून्यता (yad rūpaṃ sā śūnyatā, literally “form is indeed emptiness”).
