Usage notes
The basic meaning "go" applies to any kind of animate or inanimate motion: walk, ride, sail, fly, etc.
Inflection
Irregular, but similar to fourth conjugation. The third principal part is most often contracted to iī, but occasionally appears as īvī. Likewise, the perfect active infinitive and pluperfect subjunctive stem are most often contracted to isse, but rarely can be found in the full form iisse.
