Etymology

From Khmer របៀប (rɔbiəp, “method, system; order, arrangement, organisation; style, way; regime; rule, regulation”), extended form of រៀប (riəp, “to prepare; to arrange; to organise; etc”), from which Thai เรียบ (rîiap) was derived.
