An Enlargement of *lakϑ with the collective suffix -í, from Proto-Albanian *lǝĝ, from Proto-Indo-European *lēĝ(h), *lǝĝ(h) 'twig; hazel'. Cognate to Lithuanian lazdà (stick, hazel), Latvian lazda, Old Church Slavonic лоза (loza, grape).
