From Proto-Albanian *kakja, either from Proto-Indo-European *kaw- (compare Ancient Greek κακός (kakós, “bad”), Lithuanian keñti (“to be evil”),[1][2] or from a Mediterranean substrate word along with the Ancient Greek cognate.
