Usage notes

  • A variety of terms may separate the two elements introduced by בין‎. The most common is probably ל־‎ (l'-, “to”) — as in, bein X l'-Y — but the above quotations also demonstrate ובין (uvéin, “and between”) and עד‎ (ad, “until”), and לבין (l'véin, “to between”) and ו־‎ (v'-, “and”) exist as well.
