From Proto-Albanian *treuδ-, from Proto-Indo-European *treu-d- 'to squeeze, crush, press'. Cognate to Latin trudo (“to push, force, press”) and Gothic usÞriutan (usÞriutan, “to bother, persecute”)[1].
