From Proto-Turkic *köri-, *gör- (to see, look).[1] Cognate with Turkish görmek (to see), Kazakh көру (körw, to see), Old Turkic 𐰚𐰇𐰼 (kör-, to see), Uzbek koʻrmoq (to see).
