Compound of 呼び (yobi, “calling”, the 連用形 (ren'yōkei, “continuative or stem form”) of verb 呼ぶ yobu, “to call”) + 出し (dashi, “out”, the 連用形 (ren'yōkei, “continuative or stem form”) of verb 出す dasu, “to let or bring out”). Literally “calling [something] out”.
