From *թիռ- (*tʿiṙ-, to fly), from Proto-Indo-European *ptēr-, lengthened grade of *pter- (wing, feather), + -չ- (-čʿ-).

  1. (intransitive) to fly, to take flight, to soar
    թռչել ի մտացtʿṙčʿel i mtacʿto escape one's memory, to go out of one's mind, to be forgotten
    թռչել բանինtʿṙčʿel baninto divulge immediately, to make public
