- Type locality: from soil with roots of wheat plants, Triticum spp. Gharbia region (Egypt).
- Holotype: ZMH - ♀.
Synonyms
- Orthotydeus longisetosus, original combination.
- Tydeus longisetosus, subsequent combination used by Khanjani & Ueckermann (2003: 5)
- Tydeus momeni, replacement name proposed by Khanjani & Ueckermann (2003: 5) (junior homonym of Tydeus longisetosus Kuznetsov & Zapletina)
