Synonyms
(Short) history
- The Tydeus kochi Oudemans, 1928 was a new name for the Tydeus croceus described by Koch, 1836 [and not for Acarus croceus Linnaeus, 1758].
- The species was renamed by Oudemans (1928: 378) for a species with "spatulate" setae. The specimens identified as kochi by Baker (1970: 170–171) surely belong to another species as they have no clavate setae (André, 2005: 981).
- Species inquirenda according to André (2005: 997).
