Etymology
From Proto-Albanian *tšel-, from Proto-Indo-European *kwel- 'to turn, twist'. Cognate to Ancient Greek πέλω (pélō, “to be in motion”), Tocharian A köllāš (“bring”), preterit śël, Old Norse hvel (“wheel”). Somehow, the archaic form has generated Arbëresh Albanian qellënj with an apparently conservative q-.
