     Pardieu ! je le crois bien, s’écria Sancho, qu’il était sage et enchanteur, puisque, à ce que dit le bachelier, Samson Carrasco (c’est ainsi que s’appelle celui dont je viens de parler), l’auteur de l’histoire se nomme Cid Hamet Berengen.

     "By God! I do believe," cried Sancho, "that he was a sage and an enchanter, because, according to what the bachelor, Samson Carrasco (for that's the name of the one that I just talked about), says, the author of the story was named Cid Hamet Berengen."
