Etymology
From Proto-Albanian *duk-, from Proto-Indo-European *dewk- (“to draw”), perhaps contaminated with Proto-Indo-European *teng- (“to think, feel, know”). Compare Old High German dunhen (“shine, appear, seem”) (German dünken (“seem, think, consider oneself”)), Gothic þugkjan (þugkjan, “to think, consider”), Swedish tycka (“to seem, look like”) and perhaps Ancient Greek (Hom.) δοκέω (dokéō, “think, suppose, seem”)[1].
Verb
duket (first-person singular past tense (u) duk, participle dukur)
