- (Islam) The call to prayer, which originally consisted of simply four takbirs followed by the statement لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا ٱلله (lā ʾilāha ʾillā llāh) (أَشْهَدُ أَنْ) ((ʾašhadu ʾan)).
- If one prays alone, then no adhan is needed.
