Usage notes

ᆸ니까 (-mnikka) is used after verbs and adjectives with no finals or ㄹ, which falls out. For example:

가— (ga-) + ᆸ니까 (-mnikka) = 갑니까 (gamnikka, “Will you go?”)
알— (al-) + ᆸ니까 (-mnikka) = 압니까 (amnikka, “Do you know?”)

습니까 (-seumnikka) is used otherwise, that is, after verbs and adjectives with finals that are not (l). For example:

먹— (meok-) + 습니까 (-seumnikka) = 먹습니까 (meokseumnikka, “Do you eat?”)
