|
Suffix
—는다 • (-neunda)
- a present tense plain style declarative suffix
- a plain style monologic interrogative suffix; usually used with interrogative words
Usage notes
The suffix —는다 (-neunda) is directly attached to the stem of a verb that ends in a consonant other than ㄹ (l).
- E.g. 씹다 (ssipda, “to chew”) → 친구가 껌를 씹는다. (Chin-guga kkeomneul ssimneunda., “My friend is chewing a gum.”)
If the stem ends in a vowel or the consonant ㄹ (l), —ᆫ다 (-nda) is used instead. See —ᆫ다 (-nda).
