Etymology
From Sanskrit बहुवचन (bahuvacana, “plural number”), from बहु (bahu, “many”) + वचन (vacana, “speech; number”). Equivalent to พหู + พจน์ (pót). Cognate with Khmer ពហុវចនៈ (pôhŏvchânéa’), Lao ພະຫຸພົດ (pha hu phot).
