தேவன்
Tamil
Etymology
Either borrowed from Sanskrit देव (deva, “god”), or a derivation from Tamil தே (tē, “deity, god”). In the second case, the Sanskrit word was conflated with the already existent Tamil word, as evidenced by compounds borrowed from Sanskrit.
Noun
தேவன் • (tēvaṉ)
