From Sanskrit ৱ্যৱহাৰিকা (vyavahārikā, “female servant”).

বহাৰী (boharī)

  1. daughter-in-law
    মণিৰত্ন পায়া বৰ আনন্দ মিলিল ।
    প্ৰথম বহাৰী বুলি জানকীক দিল ॥
    moṇirotno paya boro anondo mililo .
    prothomo boharī buli janokīko dilo .
    Became very happy getting jewellery,
    gave Janaki as she was the first daughter-in-law.
