Since Müller connected with Sanskrit विष्टि (viṣṭi), विष्टी (viṣṭī, forced service, compulsory work) and considered an Iranian borrowing. Compare Khotanese [script needed] (āviṣṭa-, troubled), Sogdian [script needed] (ʾʾwyštk, confused).
