Possibly, from Proto-Bulgar *ham + Iranian suffix -ba + -ar. Compare regional Bulgarian хумба (humba) and a similar Pamiri word for fruit jar[1]. Alternatively, borrowed from Ottoman Turkish انبار (ambâr), from Persian انبار (ambār).
