Note:
The original description state that the parentage is Disocactus ackermannii × Nopalxochia phyllanthoides × Epiphyllum crenatum, but the description of D. ackermannii in the text outrule that species. It is likely that the plant in was × Disochia jenkinsonii (N. phyllanthoides × D. speciosus), commonly cultivated under the name "Ackermannii". The original drawing show a plant with both triangular stems and basal spination, supporting this.
