Holotype: RMNH PBI_OON 00031783, male, 23 March 1985, coll. Deeleman, leg. C.L. en P.R. Deeleman.
Type locality: West Sarawak, Semengoh Arboretum, lower track, sieving leaflitter.
Etymology: The species epithet refers to the Semengoh wildlife centre in Sarawak which is the type locality.
