- Holotype: BZM ARC1472 (EMBL # LM655570), ♂, 02-IV-2010.
- Etymology: This epithet is a combination of the Latin adjectives aeneus (copper, bronze) and micans (shining) and refers to the metallic lustre of this species´ elytra.
