Lectotype: BMNH 1891.9.2.1. Paralectotypes: ZSI F12932 (1), F12935 (1). Lectotype designated by Katayama et al. (2012).
Type locality: Ganjam Coast, Bay of Bengal, India, depth 10-13 fathoms.
