Name

Holotype: FMNH CUP 1, a partial skull (anterior part of skull and lower jaws).

Type locality and horizon: Tati, Lufeng County, Yunnan Province, China; Upper Red Beds, Lower Lufeng Formation, Early Jurassic (Sinemurian).

Synonyms

  • Lufengoconodon changchiawaensis Young, 1982: 23 [synonymized by Luo & Wu (1994: 262)]
    • Sinoconodon changchiawaensis: Crompton & Sun, 1985 [subsequent combination]

Holotype: IVPP V7201, V4727, a skull, mandible, and anterior limb.

Type locality and horizon: Zhangjiawa, China; Upper Red Beds, Lower Lufeng Formation. Early Jurassic (Sinemurian).

  • Sinoconodon parringtoni Young, 1982 [synonymized by Luo & Wu (1994: 262)]

Holotype: IVPP V7203, V4726, a mandible and skull lacking the occipital region.

Type locality and horizon: Zhangjiawa, China; Upper Red Beds, Lower Lufeng Formation. Early Jurassic (Sinemurian).

  • Sinoconodon yangi Zhang & Cui, 1983: 32 [synonymized by Luo & Wu (1994: 262)]

Holotype: IVPP V 6747, a skull and mandible.

Type locality and horizon: South of Dahuangtian Village, Lufeng County, Yunnan Province, China; Upper Red Beds, Lower Lufeng Formation; Early Jurassic (Sinemurian).
