René Oberthür (1852–1944), French entomologist.

The coleoptera collection from Rene Oberthür, 5 million specimens in 20,000 cases, is in the Muséum national d'histoire naturelle MNHN. A little in Museum Koenig ZFMK and in Museo Civico di Storia Naturale di Genova MCSNG (Indomalayan and Papua Coleoptera).
