      • Type locality: Le Thevenn, Santec, Brittany, France. Neotype: J. Cabioch; 25 June 1990; PC. Isoneotype in BM. The original material, collected by Pierre Drach who collected the specimen on a blade of Laminaria hyperborea at 12 m from Primpel, Baie de Morlaix, Brittany in August 1948, cannot be located, accoding to Brodie & Irvine.
