(Short) history
The Pseudotydeinae was created to receive a genus 'somewhat atypical of the Tydeidae' and assigned to the Tydeidae (Baker & Delfinado, 1974). The subfamily was transferred to Ereynetidae and synonymized by André & Fain (2000: 437).
