Holotype: QCAZ 46259, adult ♂, collected by Elicio E. Tapia and Fernando Núñez on 17 November 2009.
Type locality: “Ecuador, Provincia Napo, Cantón Tena, on the road from Salcedo to Tena (1.0090°S, 78.1883°W), 2095 m.”
