Phrynopus kauneorum Lehr, Aguilar & Köhler, 2002

Type locality: "Palma Pampa (09° 53´ 12 S, 75° 53´ 22 W), 3020 m elevation, located approximately 20 km southeast of Chaglla, along the road from Chaglla to Tomyarica, property of P. Baumann, Distrito Chaglla, Provincia Pachitea, Departamento Huánuco, Peru".

Holotype: MHNSM 20459.
