Name

Oreophryne waira Günther, 2003

Type locality: "about 7 km NEN [sic] of the village of Kontiunae (colloquial Konti), 15 km NE of Serui, in the Waira Mountain on Yapen Island, 1° 47´ S and 136° 20´ E, altitude 630 m a.s.l., Papua, Province of Indonesia".

Holotype: ZMB 65878.
