Type locality: Cactus thorn scrub at Fort Clarence (20-100 ft alt.) and adjacent part of Hellshire Hills (20-200 ft alt.) near Seafort, St . Catherine Parish, Jamaica

Holotype ♂: AMNH (9.IV.1988; F. Coyle et al.)
