Holotype: NMZB 16191, adult ♂, collected by A. Channing, J. Measey, S. Broadley, and G. Rasmussen on 28 October 1998.
Type locality: “Barotse floodplain near Mongu (15°15’36.7”S, 23°07’46.0”E), western Zambia”.
