- Type locality: AUSTRALIA: 3 mi W. of Mourilyan, N.Q., sandy soil at light.
- Holotype: ANIC, ♂, 5.xi.66, E.Britton.
- Etymology: Male sternite 9 with its paired processes reminded me of the silhouette of rays of genus Mobula.
