Type locality: "Finca El Faro, S slope Volcán Santa María, 4.0 km N El Palmar, 875 m, Quezaltenango, Guatemala. This site lies in Premontane Wet Forest at about 14° 40´ 30 N, 91° 35´ W."
Holotype: UTA A-26199.
