Type locality: "at an altitude of 650 m a.s.l., Wondiwoi Mountains at the base of the Wandammen Peninsula, about 8 km west of the coastal village of Yeretuar, 2° 56´ S, 134° 36´ E, Nabire district (Kabupaten Paniai), Irian Jaya (Papua Barat = West Papua) [now Papua], Indonesia".
