Note: These three combinations have been segregated from Polygonum by Qaiser & Perveen, (2011) based upon Cephalophilon as defined by Tzvelev, (1989), however, his treatment is not always accepted (Kong & Hong 2018) - see Persicaria main page where Cephalophilon is treated as a synonym of Persicaria sect.
