Name

Centromochlus (Balroglanis) britskii Sarmento-Soares & Birindelli, 2015

Type locality: São Paula, rio Paraná (now the UFE Ilha Solteira upper rio Paraná), approx. 20°18'S, 51°10'W, Brazil.

Etymology: in honor of Heraldo Antonio Britski, who collected type, for “significant contributions and pioneer studies” on the systematics of auchenipterid catfishes. The ETYFish Project
