Type locality: Kara Sea, Novaya Zemblya Depression, 72°34.2'N, 59°12.9'E. to 72°33.0'N, 59°13.0'E, depth 204 meters.
Etymology: Acc. to the etymology given in the description: "The name is derived from Latin mica (= Babbie [= Baby]), as the adult specimen has small size." [but acc. to dictionaries it means: crumb, little bit, morsel, and grain]
