- Holotype: NIWA 80648, subadult female.
- Type locality: 40.1277°S 170.2140°E – 40.1352°S 170.2090°E, 803–805 m, 5 June 2007.
- Etymology: The species is named after Zealandia, the ancient continent that makes up the current islands of New Zealand as well as the Chatham Rise, Challenger Plateau, Campbell Plateau, Lord Howe Rise and Norfolk Ridge.
