Brachycephalus leopardus Ribeiro, Firkowski & Pie, 2015: 22, figs. 11-13
- Type locality: BRAZIL: Serra do Araçatuba (25°54′07″S, 48°59′47″W; 1,640 m a.s.l.), municipality of Tijucas do Sul, state of Paraná, southern Brazil.
- Holotype: DZUP 490 (Fig. 11), adult male; 06 January 2006 by Marcelo Leandro Brotto and LFR.
- Etymology: The specific epithet is from the Latin leopardus and refers to the spotted pattern reminiscent of the coloration of the felid genus Leopardus.
