Boraginales Juss. ex Bercht. & J. Presl Prir. Rostlin 244. (1820)
This circumscription follows APG IV and subsumes all previous families into Boraginaceae s.l. with them re-circumscribed as subfamilies or tribes. However, see Leubert et al., (2016) and Stevens et al., (2016) for a contrary view.
