Type locality: "Manarikova forest, Camp I (Antsahamanara), Tsaratanana Massif, Marovato Fivondronana, Antsiranana Faritany (Diégo Suarez Province), northwestern Madagascar, 14° 02´ 42 S, 48° 47´ 04 E, ca 1000 m above sea level".

Holotype: ZSM 627/2001.
