- Type locality: VENEZUELA: Guarico State/ 8°31.705'N, 66°22.602'W, 145 m/ c. 65 km S. Las Mercedes,/ 9.i.2009; leg. Short, Miller/ García & Camacho; large/ lagoon w/veg.; VZ09-0109-01X.
- Etymology: From Latin reperio, “to find”, alluding to the fact that this species was discovered only after dissecting out the male genitalia.
