Name

Bathylutichthys balushkini Voskoboinikova, 2014

  • Holotype: ZIN 50462.
  • Paratypes: ZIN 50461 (1), 50463 (1).

Type locality: Meteor Shoal, 48°03'S, 8°14'E, southeastern Atlantic, depth 960-970 meters.

Etymology: The species is named after Arkadii Vladimirovich Balushkin, a prominent contributor to the study of the Antarctic ichthyofauna.
