Name

Alsodes igneus Cuevas & Formas, 2005

Type locality: "at the border of Malleco Lake, Tolhuaca National Park (38° 12´ S, 71° 48´ W; 920 m altitude), 66 km north-eastern [sic] of Victoria City (by road), Malleco Province, Región de la Araucanía, western slopes of the Andes".

Holotype: IZUA 3353.
