- †Alanqa saharica Ibrahim, Unwin, Martill, Baidder & Zouhri, 2012
- Holotype: FSAC-KK 26 (Faculté des Sciences Ain Chock, Université Hassan II, Casablanca); almost complete mandibular symphysis.
- Type locality: Aferdou N'Chaft, near Begaa, Province d'Errachidia, Morocco, 30° 53′ 51.23″ N 3° 52′ 13.42″ E.
- Etymology: Sahara, Desert (Arabic); -ica, belonging to (Greek). Named for the region and environment where the holotype was found.
